South Dublin County Council ‘s Health & Wellbeing Week 2019 9th -15th September
Since 2014 SDCC have provided a Health & Wellbeing Week in South Dublin during the month of September. This event has grown over the years with the establishment of the Interagency Heathy County Steering Group in late 2014.
The objective of Health & Wellbeing Week is to take one week of the year to highlight all the work going on throughout the year in the county that aims to improve the Health and Wellbeing of those that live and work in South Dublin.
Our work in this area was recognised in 2016 when South Dublin were successful in being accredited as a World Health Organization “Healthy County”, We are members of the Healthy Cities and Counties of Ireland Network since its inception in 2016 and play an active role in promoting health and wellbeing at a National level by supporting other Local Authorities to gain their accreditation.
2019’s Health and Wellbeing Week will be launched on Monday 9th September at 11 am in Tallaght Stadium.
