South Dublin Local Community Safety Partnership is a new initiative which will bring residents, community organisations, public services, local representatives and An Garda Síochána to work in partnership on key community safety priorities in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area. Resident voices will be central to identifying local issues, shaping solutions and monitoring progress.
A vacancy for a Resident Representative currently exists in the electoral area of Firhouse/Bohernabreena in South Dublin Local Community Safety Partnership. SDCC are inviting expression of interest (EOI’s) from Resident Associations across the electoral area of Firhouse/Bohernabreena in South Dublin to nominate a Resident Representative to the new Local Community Safety Partnership.
Role of the Resident Representative
Resident Representatives will:
- Represent the views and interests of residents and Resident Associations from across South Dublin County
- Help identify community safety priorities and emerging issues in their local area
- Work collaboratively with statutory agencies, community groups, and other partners
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a Local Community Safety Plan
- Attend LCSP meetings and related workshops or engagement events
This is a voluntary role. Support and information will be provided to all Resident Representatives to help them participate fully and confidentially.
Who can apply?
Resident associations based in the electoral area of Firhouse/Bohernabreena in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area are invited to submit an Expression of Interest nominating a resident representative who:
- Lives in the electoral area of Firhouse/Bohernabreena in South Dublin County Council’s administrative area
- Is actively involved in their Resident Association
- Is committed to promoting inclusion, respect, and collaboration
