Bealtaine Festival

Bealtaine Festival

We believe that the month of May belongs to the Bealtaine Festival, celebrating art and creativity as we age!  The Bealtaine Festival gives our older adults in the County  the opportunity to discover a new talent or find a new way to use an old skill.  It is an opening to make new friends and connect with your community.

Every year South Dublin County Council organises a number of events during the month to celebrate the festival and produces brochure of the programme of events to advertise the wide variety of events and activities. This brochure of events will be available from April of each year.

If you or your group are interested in getting involved in our Bealtaine Festival by hosting an event/ activity for older members of the community during the month of May proposals forms are available from February of each year.  Contact the Social Inclusion Unit for a proposal form on 01 414 9270 or email: socialinclusionunit@sdublincoco.ie. Contributions towards expenses incurred will be made available and all events are promoted on South Dublin County Council’s website, and through the Bealtaine Brochure.
