Gender Balance
South Dublin County Council is ahead of the curve with regard to gender balance. However, we can always strive to do better.
Following the 2019 local elections 23.9% of all local government seats went to women, in South Dublin it was 35%. This figure has changed to 40% as Councillors were replaced for a variety of reasons including national elections.
