Work IQ Innovation Centre wins Best Commercial Project at IPI Awards
The Irish Planning Institute's Awards ceremony was held at Clontarf Castle, Dublin, serving as an opportunity to recognize excellence in the field of planning. In 2025, the institute is celebrating its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of commitment to advancing sustainable development and community-centered planning across Ireland.
The awards acknowledged outstanding projects, including South Dublin County Council’s (SDCC) Work IQ Innovation Centre, which received the award in the Commercial Project category.
The Work IQ Innovation Centre, a flagship project by SDCC, supports Ireland’s Project 2040 through urban regeneration, sustainable growth, and economic innovation. Located in Tallaght, the €16 million centre is a state-of-the-art hub for start-ups, managed by Oxford Innovation Space.
It promotes climate action, sustainable transport, and neighbourhood integration via NZEB standards, public transit access, and community-focused design. Supporting up to 60 businesses and 700 jobs, the Centre anchors wider regeneration, blending economic growth, environmental goals, and inclusive urban development in South Dublin
