Pilot Household Bulky Waste for Re-Use Collection Service 2021

South Dublin County Council in conjunction with our social enterprise partner, Recycle IT, will be running a Pilot Bulky Household Waste for potential Re-use Collection Service during the final week of October 2021 which is open to all South Dublin County Council Householders. The bulky waste collection is for items that are too large to be accepted by the regular waste collection service e.g., furniture, carpets, bikes and kitchen & bathroom units.

NB: This is a Domestic Household Bulky Waste Collection Service only and is not available to commercial premises.

How does the service operate?

Any household wishing to avail of this service should contact Recycle IT directly on (01) 4578321 who will place your request for this service.

As this is a Pilot scheme, available collection slots may fill up rapidly.

Only one collection per household.

How much does the service cost?

The initial cost of the service will be €40.00 per collection. Six (6) individual items can be presented at any one collection. (A three-piece suite of furniture would be classed as three items and not one item, similarly items of garden furniture will be counted individually) If you wish to have more than six (6) items collected then an additional €5.00 charge will apply per additional item, up to a maximum of ten (10) items in total.

NB: All collection charges must be paid in advance before any collection can be arranged.
