This year, the Red Line Book Festival takes a walk on the dark side with a thrilling programme of crime writing and the supernatural. From chilling ghost stories to gripping crime fiction, the festival explores what really sends a shiver down the spine.
Dark Side Highlights:
Chasing the Dark: Encounters with the Supernatural — Ben Machell & Sophie White on ghosts, psychic phenomena, and the chilling case files of Tony Cornell.
Crime author Gill Perdue in conversation with Amanda Cassidy about her latest novel The Night I Killed Him.
Writing the Supernatural — Sarah Maria Griffin, Courtney Smyth, Heather Davey & Deirdre Sullivan on stories that explore the strange and otherworldly.
Irish funeral director David McGowan joins Ruth Scott to share moving and humorous insights from A Life Among the Dead.
Beyond the dark strand, the festival also features appearances from Helen Fielding, Jo Baker, Booker Prize winner Paul Lynch, Hector Ó hEochagáin, and many more. Family events, workshops, local talent showcases, and the prestigious poetry competition round out the week-long celebration.
