SDCC is delighted to announce the success of Project EDWARD Day on Thursday 8th October 2026.  For the second consecutive year Ireland achieved a day with zero road fatalities, representing a significant milestone in our efforts to improve road safety. As part of our All- Ireland Strategic Road Safety Engagement Programme, with events taking place throughout the week, this is a highly encouraging outcome.  It reinforces the importance of sustained road safety awareness, multi-agency collaboration and targeted initiatives aimed at influencing driver behaviors and fostering a lasting culture of safer road use.
