€350,000 funding for community groups has been announced by SDCC

South Dublin County Council has announced €350,000 funding for a wide range of community groups in the County through the Community Infrastructure Fund.

The Community Infrastructure Fund offers community groups including sports clubs the opportunity to apply for funding to assist with the cost of either constructing new community facilities or the modernisation or expansion of existing facilities.

44 applications were received to this fund from 11 March up to the closing date for applications on 5 April 2019. Applications could be made for amounts between €5,000 and €50,000.

The €350,000 was provided for in the Council’s Annual Budget 2019.
