Medieval Pilgrimage: Tall Tales and True!

Join us for an engaging and entertaining exploration of medieval pilgrimage in Ireland and Europe. Historian Eimear Ging's informative talk in her own inimitable style will guide us as we step back in time to discover the facts, folklore and traditions associated with some of the most popular pilgrim paths in the medieval world. Hear about the fascinating rituals and realities of the pilgrim experience and take the opportunity to meet some of Eimear's colleagues in Clondalkin Living History as they take the role of returned 'medieval pilgrims' in costume. Examine some of the souvenirs and items they might have brought back from their travels and enjoy the journey back in time!
