SÍOL Programme - Expressions of Interest Invited

The Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht Dara Calleary TD, has launched the SÍOL Programme. The aim of the programme is to target areas of disadvantage and provide funding for infrastructure to improve the areas and lives of the communities.

The following specific areas within the SDCC administrative area have been selected for inclusion in the first year of the SÍOL scheme:

1. Clondalkin - Electoral Divisions of Clondalkin – Moorfield, Clondalkin Cappaghmore, and Clondalkin Rowlagh
2. Tallaght - Electoral Divisions of Tallaght - Jobstown, Tallaght - Kiltipper, and Tallaght – Killinardan

We are currently in the process of identifying eligible projects within these areas of the county with a view to making funding applications to the Department before the closing date of 14th August 2026.

Community and voluntary groups can apply for funding which will focus on the delivering sustainable and long-term benefits to communities. Eligible projects can include community safety projects, public realm works, projects to support health and wellbeing initiatives, and projects that support access to education and training in community settings.

Proposed projects must be ready to commence on approval with landowner consents and planning permission in place at time of application.
