Education Subgroup
The Education subgroup is working to add value to existing and planned education initiatives by –
- Convening spaces/opportunities where the full range of education interests, policy makers, practitioners and parents in South Dublin can analyse and reflect upon mechanisms to enhance the education experience for children and young people.
- Developing a programme of innovative actions for the sharing of best practice between different educational entities, inspiring and igniting public imagination.
Comenius
Part of the European Commissions Lifelong Learning Programme 2007-2013, Comenius focuses on the first phase of education: nursery, primary and post-primary schooling, including technical and vocational education, and extends to pupils, teachers and education staff. It also can include organisations such as parents associations, NGOs, local authorities, the business sector and the social partners.
Comenius activities are open to any institution involved in this first education phase education within the Lifelong Learning Programme countries.

Comenius Multilateral Projects -- training for teachers and other education staff
Comenius Networks -- creating networks between Comenius projects
