SDCC Mayor Cllr. Pamela Kearns officially opens the Tymon Park Centre at Tymon Park.

On Tuesday 28th October 2025, the Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Cllr. Pamela Kearns officially opened the Tymon Park Centre. The Mayor was joined by Mr. Colm Ward, Chief Executive, Ms. Teresa Walsh, Director of Services, fellow Councillors and staff of South Dublin County Council and guests to celebrate this event.

Speaking at the event Mayor Cllr. Pamela Kerns said:

“Tymon Park Centre is a new public building and café, designed to provide flexible meeting spaces for small to medium size events and activities for the local community.

This is a long awaited and hugely welcomed facility for the area providing an area for the community to meet and mingle, indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the lake, accessibility enhancements and facilities for park users”

This project was funded by SDCC’s 3-year capital budget. The Parks and Architect Sections in SDCC, along with architects Cotter & Naessens Ltd. carried out the planning and design work on this project. Construction work on site was carried out by James Oliver Hearty and Sons Ltd.

 

The Park House Café is now open to the public, with Éala serving great coffee and a selection of snacks throughout the day. The Tymon Centre meeting space is being prepared and will be available for booking shortly. Once the system goes live it can be booked at this address… so watch this space!!
