What time are polling stations open?

Polling stations open at 7:00 a.m.  – 10:00 p.m.

How do I check the Register of Electors?

You can check the Register to ensure you are registered correctly at www.voter.ie

How can I still register to vote?

Those not registered and who wish to vote in the General Election can add themselves to the Supplement to the Register through the online Voter.ie system with a verified MyGovID account at www.voter.ie.

Alternatively, you can download an application form (RFA2) at www.sdcc.ie, or collect from the Council’s Customer Care Counters in Clondalkin or Tallaght or can send by post.  Closing date for receipt of completed forms is Wednesday 22nd January 2020.  Completed forms must be returned to South Dublin County Council – County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, D24YNN5 or Civic Offices, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, D22E9X5.

If you are eligible to vote by post or are unable to vote in person due to a physical illness or physical disability and resident in a hospital, nursing home or similar institution, and you are not on the Postal Voters List or Special Voters List, you can apply for inclusion in the supplement to these lists. Application forms can be downloaded on our website at www.sdcc.ie. Closing date for receipt of completed forms is Thursday 16th January 2020.

Who is eligible to vote?

All Irish and British Citizens are eligible to vote at this election.
