Red Line Book Festival is calling on aspiring poets to submit their work for the 2025 Red Line Book Festival poetry competition.
Now in its twelfth year, the prestigious Red Line Poetry Competition attracts hundreds of entries from all across the island of Ireland each year. This year, Red Line Book Festival is honoured to have award-winning poet Aifric Mac Aodha to judge the competition entries.
The closing date for entries is Monday 8th September 2025 and no entries will be accepted after this date. The shortlist will be announced on Wednesday October 1st 2025, with the winner announced during this year's Red Line Book Festival, which runs from October 13th to 19th 2025.
Shortlisted poets will be invited to read their poem at an event during the 2025 Red Line Book Festival in October, when winners will be announced.
The winning poet will receive a cash prize of €300, second place will receive €200 and third place will receive €100.
