Children are physically and emotionally safe in their homes, families, and community. Children engage positively in their community through quality play, sport and recreational facilities

Early in 2012 three RAPID co-ordinators were assigned the task of the expansion of the Community Safety Initative programme in the areas of Fettercairn (Drumcairn Parade), Killinarden (Deerpark Circle Housing Association) and MacUilliam in conjunction with CDI. The ‘Problem Solving Training Programme’ (SARA) was delivered in Tallaght and Clondalkin by the Gardai and SDCC; anti-social behaviour statistics continued to be mapped to monitor areas needing support and record reductions or increases in incidents. A local interagency pilot project in community development was initiated in Ard <_st13a_country-region _w3a_st="on"><_st13a_place _w3a_st="on">Mor.<_o3a_p>

The European network of Child Friendly Cities (EN CFC) id dedicated to promoting the rights and interests of children and young people in their local communities. Founded in 2000 the movement has developed into a global one. Countries affiliated to the EN CFC have made a political commitment to integrate child-friendly policies into their decision making<_o3a_p>
