Cruinniú na nÓg - Saturday 15 June 2024

Creative Ireland South Dublin is pleased to announce a call for proposals from children and young people, artists/creative practitioners, professional bodies, cultural organisations, and neighbourhood communities/organisations to be part of Cruinniú na nÓg 2024.

This open call is for events that take place as part of Cruinniú na nÓg, the national day of free creativity for children and young people, Saturday 15th June 2024 across South Dublin County. Projects may occur over a longer period of time with a final result taking place on the 15th June 2024.
 
We are inviting applications from practitioners who have the capacity to devise, facilitate and deliver creative content and activities for children and young people in any medium (examples include but are not limited to performance, street art, fashion, photography, digital arts, literature, architecture, coding, biodiversity, folk life, heritage, archaeology, landscape).

  • All proposals must be within the South Dublin County Council Administrative Area.  
  • All proposals must have a clear and feasible budget.
  • All proposals must show feasibility of completion and/or demonstration on 15th June 2024
  • All proposals must be submitted by 12 noon, MONDAY MARCH 4TH 2024

 

  • Proposals can be inclusive of all forms of creativity including but not limited to artistic practices. We welcome proposals which make innovative use of creativity in practices outside of the arts.  
     
  • If artists/creative professionals are engaged in the project, evidence must be shown in the attached budget of appropriate remuneration. 
  • we welcome and will prioritise applications that gives access to groups of children and young people who have limited access to creative activities.
  • We warmly welcome applications for activities that are delivered through the Irish language and Irish Sign Language.
  • Partners are expected to bring their own resources to support proposals.  Not all events proposed may require or receive financial assistance.  This will be agreed on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Submissions will only be accepted on the online platform. Partners are expected to bring their own resources to support proposals.  Please note, that while we welcome all proposals through this open call process, we are also mindful that we have limited resources to support our amazingly talented population of children and young people in South Dublin County.  If proposals are not successful, please do not be disappointed.  We will work hard to help you develop your ideas, give practical assistance, and point you in the direction of how to access other funding that might relevant.

  • Applicants should note that all funding awarded is VAT inclusive.
  • Proposals responding to the four priorities of the South Dublin Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023-2027: culture-creativity-strategy-2023-2027. are very warmly welcomed.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted.
