Wainsfort Roundabout improvements

South Dublin County Council have completed construction of safety improvements to Wainsfort Roundabout, Templeogue. These works were undertaken as part of the Templeville Road Phase 2 Active Travel scheme.

The roundabout has been retrofitted with increased safety features, giving cyclists and pedestrians priority. these works consisted of the following:

• Segregated cycle lanes.
• Designated controlled zebra crossings for pedestrians.
• Designated cycling-priority crossings at zebra crossings.
• Realignment of pedestrian paths and vehicular entrances of properties at the roundabout.
• Resurfacing of the carriageway.

This scheme was constructed in accordance with Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
