Donnelly Civil Engineering contracated for Templeville Road and Glendown Road

South Dublin County Council (SDCC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Donnelly Civil Engineering as Contractor to commence the Active Travel Scheme on the following two routes:

1.  Templeville Road from Wainsfort Crescent Road to Rathfarnham Shopping Centre including junction upgrades to improve safety for all road users at Wainsfort Roundabout, Fortifield Park, R137 and all minor side roads.
2.  Glendown Road from Glendown Drive to Orwell including junction upgrades to improve safety for all road users at Cypress Drive and all minor side roads.

 Templeville Road phase 1 works

Works are planned to commence on the routes in June 2025 for a duration of 1 year.

 Prior to works, Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be placed at the beginning of the routes to alert all road users of the upcoming works, and the Contractor will provide information leaflets to residents and businesses in the local vicinity. No works will commence in the vicinity of Local Schools due to Leaving Certificate Examinations 2025. SDCC do apologise in advance for any inconvenience during these works and request that caution in the vicinity of construction areas be exercised
