South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028
The South Dublin County Development Plan 2022-2028 was made on 22nd June 2022 and came into effect on 3rd August 2022.
The Development Plan sets out the framework to guide future development within South Dublin County with the focus placed on the places we live, the places we work, and how we interact and move between these places while protecting our environment. The aim is to progress to a more sustainable development pattern for South Dublin in the immediate and long-term future up to 2040 and beyond.
A Ministerial Direction issued on 18th November 2022. The Direction identified objectives to be omitted for an area of employment zoning at Greenogue and objectives to be amended from the adopted plan relating to data centres. Those areas subject to the Ministerial Direction did not come into effect with the rest of the Plan.
The Plan as published on South Dublin’s websites has been updated to reflect the changes brought about by the Ministerial Direction.
The South Dublin County Development Plan 2022 - 2028 is also available for inspection at the following locations, excluding Bank Holidays:
- County Hall, Tallaght during normal opening hours
- Civic Offices, Clondalkin during normal opening hours
In due course, printed copies of the County Development Plan will also be made available for inspection at all branches of South Dublin County Libraries.
