South Dublin County Council Achieves ISO 50001 Certification
SDCC is pleased to announce the successful achievement of ISO 50001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for Energy Management Systems.

Achieving certification reflects the dedication and collaboration of staff across the organisation in strengthening energy management practices, improving energy performance and supporting the Council's wider Climate Action commitments.
ISO 50001 provides a structured framework for monitoring and improving energy performance, identifying opportunities for energy savings and supporting continual improvement across Council operations.
Certification was awarded by Amtivo following a successful independent external assessment of the Council's Energy Management System, confirming that it meets the requirements of the ISO 50001 standard within the defined scope of certification.
This achievement represents an important milestone, but it is also the beginning of an ongoing journey. The Council will continue to build on this foundation through the implementation of energy improvement opportunities and the continued embedding of energy management practices throughout the organisation.
This work supports the delivery of the Council's Climate Action Plan and its commitment to reducing energy consumption, improving energy efficiency and leading climate action across South Dublin County.
