National Tree Week 8th - 15th March
National Tree Week will take place from Sunday the 8th of March and run until Sunday the 15th of March. This important week is run by the Tree Council of Ireland in collaboration with Coillte. This years theme is Growing a Greener Future Together.

SDCC is also taking part in National Tree Week with a suite of events being held across the week, below is the list of events SDCC shall be hosting. There is no need to book for these events, just show up at the location.
- Monday 9th:
Hedgerow restoration Corkagh Park at 11.00am. (Location: Beside The Dog Run)
Tree planting Ballycragh Park at 12:30pm.
- Tuesday 10th:
Park Rangers walk Rathfarnham Castle Park at 11:00am.
- Wednesday 11th:
Tree planting Waterstown Park at 11:00am.
- Friday 13th:
Mini woodland planting Corkagh Park at 10:00am. (Location: Meet at Car Park, Grange Castle Road Side).
Mini woodland planting Woodstown at 10:30am.
Tymon hedge restoration at 11:30am
- Saturday 14th:
Mini woodland planting Woodstown at 10:30am.
