Energy Performance Contracts
SDCC is seeking to decarbonise some of our key buildings with Energy Performance Contracts (EPC). An Energy Performance Contract (EPC) is a financing and delivery model used to improve energy efficiency in buildings. An Energy Services Company implements measurs such as lighting upgrades, heating system improvements and renewable energy technologies, and guarantees a level of energy savings. The EPC will aid SDCC in meeting our climate targets, but also help to reduce local authority emissions in Clondalkin. Two buildings in Clondalkin will be apart of the EPC contract, these will be the SDCC Civic Offices and Clondalkin Leisure Centre. To see more information and the location of the buildings that will be upgraded please see our climate action storymap.
Energy Performance Contracts form an integral part of SDCC's carbon reduction strategy, where we will show climate leadership as we work towards our 2030 energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions targets.
