This year South Dublin County Council have been rolling out Sheffield Style Adult and Junior Stands across 50 Schools/Sports Clubs (in Tallaght, Knocklyon, Templeogue, Rathfarnham, Clondalkin, Lucan) and 5 Public Parks (Tymon Park Tallaght Playground, Tymon Park Clondalkin Cricket Club Entrance, Greenhills Park, Sean Walsh Park, Carriglea Park Playground) across South Dublin.

The tender for Phase 2 of the Bike Parking project has begun. The Council will install additional bike shelters alongside the standard Sheffield style adult and junior stands. Applications for bike parking are being accepted from Sports Clubs and Schools, and we will also continue to install bike parking equipment at our public parks. By the end of 2022, the Council will have installed over 800 additional bike parking spaces across the County.

Mapping has been completed of historical bike parking alongside current bike parking for South Dublin County Council’s administrative area and is available to view on our Active Travel Website on the GIS Maps tab
