Sustainable Energy Communities
South Dublin County Council is working with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) to deliver Sustainable Energy Communities.
A Sustainable Energy Community is one where everyone works together to develop a sustainable energy system for the benefit of the community. This is achieved by:
- Being energy efficient
- Using renewable energy where feasible
- Adopting smart technology solutions
Below is a message from South Dublin County Council's Sustainable Energy Community Mentor.
Hi, I'm Ali Nolan, the Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) Mentor for South Dublin. Supported by the SEAI, I help local groups become more sustainable in how we use energy for the benefit of their community.
I can help you form an SEC, access funding, and develop an Energy Master Plan to tackle projects across local community groups, businesses, sports clubs and community buildings like schools or sports facilities. I'm here to help your community achieve it's energy goals, reduce it's carbon footprint, and make a positive impact.
If you're in South Dublin and interested in starting an energy community, I'm here to help you every step of the way. Please don't hesistate to reach out at anolan@ksncommunities.ie.
You can find out more on the SEAI website here.
