Road Infrastructural Projects
South Dublin County Council implements a programme of Road Infrastructural Projects on both the National and Non National Roads that traverse South Dublin County.
These projects comprise construction of new roads and improvements to the existing road network.
The Design Section:
This section carries out the design and preparation of contract documentation for various road schemes throughout the county. Planning of schemes takes place in co-operation with the Department of the Environment and Local Government and Transport Infrastructure Ireland, who provide various levels of funding in conjunction with E.U. institutions. Consultants are engaged from time to time to assist in the design, construction and supervision of road schemes and bridges.
Road Construction Section:
The function of this section is the management and site supervision of major road and bridge developments carried out by private contractors appointed by the Council.
