Check the Draft Register of Electors by 25th November 2017
The Draft Register of Electors which will come into force on the 15 February 2018 is on display from 1st November to 25th November 2017. You can check the Draft Register at your local Council Offices, Garda Stations, Libraries or Post Offices and online at www.checktheregister.ie until 25th November 2017.
If you are not on the draft register for 2018/2019 (the Register of Electors that will come into force on 15th February 2018) or if you are on the draft register but your details are incorrect you may claim to have a correction made by completing the application form RFA1 sending it to your local authority by 25 November 2017.
You must be 18 yrs or over on 15th February next year to be included on the Register.
Postal Voters and Special Voters
If you are unable to vote at your polling station for any of the following reasons you may apply to go on the Postal or Special Voters’ List if:
- you have a physical disability / illness and living at home,
- you have a physical disability / illness and living in a hospital or similar institution,
- your occupation, service or employment, or place of study would prevent you from voting in person,
- you are detained in prison.

Any person may inspect the Draft Register of Electors for electoral purposes during working hours at the offices of South Dublin County Council and at public libraries, post offices and Garda Stations.
