South Dublin County Council

ReUse Month

Reuse Month.

October 2016 has been designated as National Reuse Month.

This national initiative involves the three Regional Waste Offices who are coordinating a nationwide series of events to run throughout the month.

The purpose of this new waste prevention initiative is to raise awareness about the economic and environmental benefits of reusing everyday items and materials that would otherwise go to waste. The campaign is designed to challenge our behaviours and reduce the amount of waste we create and throughout the month of October there will be local (and regional) workshops and events to promote ways for families, businesses and communities to reuse.

This year South Dublin County Council will be providing

5 ReUse workshops for schools provided by ReCreate and Recycle IT
3 ReUse workshops for community groups by ReCreate and The Rediscovery Centre
