South Dublin County Council

Waterstown Park Playground Consultation

14th June 2017

Mayor of South Dublin Council, Cllr. Guss O’Connell announced the winning projects for this year’s 300K – Have Your Say campaign on 1 June. One of the winning projects was a playground for Waterstown Park. People are now being asked to participate in the consultation process. A questionnaire is being delivered to primary schools in Palmerstown and to local community groups. It is designed to get feedback as to what people want from any new play facility. We hope to get a full picture of the play needs of children in Palmerstown and the wishes of other park users.

People can express their preferences for the type of play equipment they would like to see and choose between a standard playground or a play trail, which park users may consider to be more in keeping with the natural environment of Waterstown Park. The questionnaires should be completed and returned to or dropped in to Palmerstown Community Centre by 30 June 2017.
