Dublin Mountains Visitor Centre (DMVC) Project

Dublin Mountains Visitor Centre Project (DMVC)  is a development lead by South Dublin County Council, supported by Coillte, that will create a new gateway to the Dublin Mountains to accommodate a larger number and wider range of users, and to enhance the experience of the Dublin Mountains for the population of South Dublin, as well as visitors from elsewhere in Ireland and abroad. The DMVC Project comprises of six main elements: a Visitor Centre, Treetop Walk, Carpark and Entrance upgrades, Road Improvements, Conservation Works, and New/Upgraded Trails.

The DMVC Project was granted planning permission in October 2022. Since that time, a request for tender was published for an Engineer Lead Consultant for the progression of the DMVC Project from detail design to construction and handover. Following the public procurement process, Roughan O’Donovan was appointed as the successful candidate and the project is currently underway and progressing with the detailed design phase.

The DMVC Project will be now known as ‘Hellfire’ following a carefully executed branding strategy in consultation with key stakeholders. For further information on the project, please visit the project website hellfiredublinmountains.ie
