South Dublin County Council: Active Travel Public Art Commission - Artist 2023

South Dublin County Council would like to invite expressions of interest from artists with experience in community collaboration, for the commissioning of artworks that creatively explore public spaces.

South Dublin County Council is currently inviting artists to submit Stage 1 proposals for 2 initial locations with the Cycle South Dublin Programme.  The outcomes of these public art commissions may take the form of Street Art, Art Installation or Temporary/Natural Art. A willingness to enter into a working partnership with the community and key stakeholders in the process of creating the commission is a core consideration in this brief.

These commissions at Dodder Greenway and Grand Canal to Lucan Urban Greenway will be the first in the Cycle South Dublin programme in this commission.  Additional projects locations will be added as the Cycle South Dublin programme develops. NTA-funded, this programme is a collection of projects to build the walking and cycling network in South Dublin County Council. This framework will last 5 years.
