Get ready to paint the town rainbow with South Dublin Libraries as they roll out a jam-packed schedule of Pride Month festivities! From celebrating diversity to spreading love and equality, these events promise a jamboree of fun and learning. Join in, mark those calendars, and let's rock this inclusive party, folks! 🌈🎉

Ballyroan Library 

June 4th 2024 - Teen Write Club: Pride Poetry Slam @ 5pm 

A special session of our Teen Write Club we will be sharing poetry for Pride! Share your own poetry or a favourite poem celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. For ages 13-17.  Book here

June 12th 2024 Pride Movie Screening 

Come along and join us for this screening of this 1991 cult classic, Fried Green Tomatoes. Rated PG-13 and not suitable for younger viewers. Film run time is 2 hours and 10 minutes.  Book here

June 20th 2024 - Makerspace: Pride Edition 2024 @ 3pm

Would you like to design and print your own T-Shirt for Pride? Then come along to this fun workshop at Ballyroan Library and design your own T-Shirt on Canva. Suitable for 12+ Book here 

June 25th 2024 - Badge Making Station at Ballyroan Library from 12pm

Reeling in the Queers – Tales of Ireland’s LGBTQ+ Past, a talk with Author Paraic Kerrigan, Weds 26th June at 6.30pm

Join author Páraic Kerrigan as he talks about his new book, which marks 50 years of the founding of an LGBTQ rights movement in Ireland and explores the lesser-known stories of the fight for LGBTQ rights. Booking from Mon 3rd June at castletymonlibrary.eventbrite.ie
